Dr. Paul Chamberlain is a board certified and fellowship-trained comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, and complex anterior segment eye diseases. These include routine and complex cataract surgery, secondary intraocular lenses, traditional glaucoma surgery (trabeculectomy, tube shunt), minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (Xen gel stent, Hydrus, istent, canaloplasty, goniotomy), and glaucoma laser procedures.

Dr. Chamberlain completed Medical School at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where he also completed a Master’s of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center. His intern year was at the Spokane Teaching Health Center and then he returned to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston for his ophthalmology residency. Following residency, Dr. Chamberlain completed a fellowship in Glaucoma and Complex Anterior Segment Disease at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Among his many wonderful mentors was Ike Ahmed, one of the great pioneers of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and world-renowned for his work with complex cases. He enjoys both teaching and providing care to underserved populations and continues to work in conjunction with the Moran Eye Center to help establish a glaucoma fellowship training program in Tanzania.

As a native of the Treasure Valley, Dr. Chamberlain is grateful for the chance to return home with his wife and four children. When not providing eye care for the people of his hometown, Dr. Chamberlain enjoys spending time with his wife and children, running, playing tennis, cooking (ask him about his Texas BBQ), hanging out with his parents, camping, and spending as much time as he can in the beautiful Idaho sunshine.
