Dr. Parhiz finished his medical school training at St. Louis University School of Medicine and then went on to do his residency at State University of New York at Stony Brook where he also served as chief resident during his final year. Intrigued by the beauty and intricate nature of the most vital structure in the human eye, he pursued a fellowship in vitreo-retinal disease and surgery at one of the most coveted training programs in the country, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he trained with some of the most prominent and innovative figures in the world of retina. Dr. Parhiz has been involved in extensive research and publications and plans to bring that innovation to the Treasure Valley.
After working for years in Indiana and Wyoming, Dr. Parhiz is excited to finally be near his family here in Boise. He spends much of his time off exploring all that Boise has to offer. Along with spending time with his family, he enjoys trail running, traveling, and cooking.
