Dr. Jackson was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University and with Honors from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, Kentucky.

He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Also while there, he received awards for the Best Intern Educator and Best Research in Oculoplastic Surgery, served as Chief Resident, and was awarded the Charles Leone, MD Resident of the Year.

Dr. Jackson was privileged to receive an American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was trained in orbital and oculofacial plastic surgery, including orbital tumors and orbital and facial trauma, and completed countless multi-disciplinary cases with ENT, oral maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery.

In his free time Dr. Jackson enjoys boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, hiking, backpacking and playing tennis with his wife, Ashley, and four daughters—Hailey, Lila, Clara, and Susie. Dr. Jackson is excited to call Boise home and looks forward to meeting and serving the community.
