- Vitreoretinal Disease
Dr. Stevens is a Board-Certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases. He attended Brigham Young University on an academic scholarship for his undergraduate degree. In 2006 he graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine. In 2010 he completed his Ophthalmology residency at Drexel, serving as Chief Resident. In 2018, he completed a Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Retinal Institute of California in Pasadena.
Dr. Stevens has participated in multiple research studies to advance the treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. He is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Stevens grew up in Idaho, graduating from Weiser High School. After practicing in South Dakota, California, and most recently, Twin Falls, Idaho, he and his wife were eager to return to the Treasure Valley to raise their eight children. He enjoys pickleball, tennis, fishing, camping, hiking, white water rafting, and family history research.
